Ithaquatica! was our theme for the 1st St. Mosaic Project’s 2017 design. Since Cayuga Lake is an integral part of Ithaca’s character and environment, we decided to celebrate it! We worked with the ScienCenter’s Young Science Leaders who made clay tiles based on their research about Cayuga Lake watershed biology. We had invaluable help from new Ithaca College students, who grouted and polished as part of their Community Plunge, and Jump Start volunteering efforts.
