Quilted Landscapes focus on the elemental edge of sky and earth. They surf the edge of painting, in the landscape tradition, with ornate gilt frames, and quilting, with their use of recognizable domestic materials and padded softness. They are all inspired by specific places in the Finger Lakes region of New York state.
