This Spring I am excited to be working on at least 3 local grant projects; 2 in schools and one public art mosaic with community volunteer participation. The public art mosaic is detailed in some of my new in the studio entries.
I am working with Ben Franklin Elementary School third graders in Binghamton, NY on illustrating books they are writing about animals. We are using collage, drawing and painting to express their ideas about animals and insects they have chosen to study in detail.
I am also working on a mosaic number line with pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1rstgraders at Enfield Elementary School near Ithaca, New York.
